Framing the Truth – News Report Challenge
Scenario: During a school assembly, the principal trips over a misplaced chair while making an important announcement. The event is caught on photo and video. The photo spreads quickly on social media. Students write three different news reports in groups in which they present the story for distinct purposes and present different perspectives. They reflect on the use of framing techniques and on how language can manipulate.
